Why we chose these 3 ingredients specifically?Updated 10 hours ago

Each of these components support gut health and, in our view, are the best representations of key components within colostrum and breast milk :

Lactoferrin

  • Lactoferrin is a protein found in human milk and animal milk.
  • Colostrum, the first milk made after a baby is born, is higher in lactoferrin.
  • Lactoferrin helps regulate how well iron is absorbed into the body from the intestine.
  • It also seems to protect against infections from bacteria, viruses, and fungi. The lactoferrin in breastmilk is thought to help protect breast-fed infants against infections.

Immunoglobulin (IgG)

  • IgG is an antibody and thus helps to recognize and eliminate bacteria viruses and toxins.
  • This also helps immunity by maintaining the gut barrier.
  • At a 5g dosage this is considered a pharmaceutical food and can be given as a prescription to people with leaky gut and IBS among other illnesses.

HMO 2’-FL - Human Milk Oligosaccharide 2’-fucosyllactose  :

  • Prebiotic present in breast milk. Is the most prevalent HMO in breast milk.
  • This is used in certain infant formulas and digestive aids.
  • HMOs are based on human breast milk and are not present in bovine colostrum
